Things to do at SantaPark

SantaPark is a purpose-built cavern beneath Syväsenvaara hill, roughly 8 km from Rovaniemi and next door to the free Santa Claus Village on the surface – the two are separate attractions with separate tickets, not one site.

Entry runs broadly 40 to 55 EUR for adults, with family tickets available, and covers the elf workshop, an ice skating rink, a carousel and other indoor activities plus a sit-down meeting with Father Christmas; he also receives visitors up in the village above, so a ticket here is not the only way to see him.

SantaPark opens year-round but with shorter hours outside the winter season, and the underground setting keeps a steady chilly temperature regardless of what it is doing outside. Budget 3 to 4 hours, and eat on site or back up in the village – the cavern's cafés are limited.
