Things to do in Kittilä

Kittilä is the municipality's administrative centre and the region's main air gateway, not a resort in itself.

Kittilä Airport (KTT) takes seasonal charter and scheduled flights from across Europe through the winter, and it is a separate airport from Rovaniemi (RVN), roughly 170 km south by road, so double-check which one your flight actually lands at.

The village holds the supermarkets, pharmacy and bank that Levi does not have on its own, since Levi sits administratively under Kittilä. Beyond that, the centre itself is modest: most visitors pass through for an hour or two before continuing around 15 km to Levi or on to Ylläs, rather than stopping to sightsee.
